With sadness, we share the passing of Joseph Gauthier of Royal Oak, Michigan. Joseph, born on May 17, 1935, passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Joseph for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Gauthier and Anna Gauthier. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gramer Funeral Home (705 N Main St, Clawson, MI 48017). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Oak View Cemetery (1032 N Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067).
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations made in Joseph's name to the Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or the Michigan Humane Society.
