She is survived by: her parents, Donald Atkinson and Maria Atkinson; her siblings, Bill (Jolene), Bryan (Sue) and Linda; her nieces and nephews, Carl, James, Laura (Michael) and Rebecca; and her great-niece Hannah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (2600 Crooks Rd, Troy, MI 48084). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
She also collaborated with SAY Detroit, and more recently she served on the Kovan Golf Classic Committee for Variety the Children's Charity of Detroit.
