She was predeceased by: her husband Johnnie C. Smith; her children, Bobby Smith, Yvonne Whitson (General), Brenda Smith-Helton, Gonza Adams (James) and Willie Claude Smith; her grandson Roosevelt Helton Jr.; her great grandchild Antionesha Helton; her siblings, Jerry Wilkerson, Johnny P. Wilkerson and Burnastein Allen; her son-in-law Carl Williams; her brother-in-law Wendell Taylor; and her parents, Rosie Wilkerson (Tommie Harris) and Clyde Wilkerson.
She is survived by: her children, Marlon Smith (Yolonda), Alton Smith (Dorthea), Leon Barnwell (Eula), J. Anitra Smith-Williams and Kathyrene Mitchner (Homer); her sisters, Eloise Taylor and Kay Jones; her sister-in-law Mildred Smith; and her granddaughters, Chantel Oliver (Gary) and Angell Kelsey (Huey). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family.
