It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cleveland Smith Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Pearl Smith and Cleveland Smith Sr.; his grandparents, Willie, Rennie Ware, Emory, Nettie Smith (King) and JD Head; his great-grandparent Mattie Smith; his brother William Donahue; his aunts and uncles, Mamie Doster King, Mary L. Baker, Annie Lipton, Florine Bryant, Phillip Blake and Nathaniel Ware; and his cousin Theresa Baker.
He is survived by: his friend Cleveland Smith, Jr.; his daughter Felica Williams (Leedell); his grandchildren, Christopher, Christian and Cavarius Everett of Toledo, Ohio; his siblings, Anthony Smith (Janice) of Saginaw, Reginald Smith of Saginaw, Sandra Smith of Saginaw, Kathleen Smith of Saginaw, Phyllis Thorne of Saginaw, Tanita Ezell of Saginaw, Phillip D. Smith, Georgia, Yvette Brazil, Janet Smith, Pontiac of Michigan, Alice Fleming (Mitchell), Kalvin D. Smith and Debra Mason; his aunts, Patricia Franklin-Lindsey (Allen) and Resie Bell Blake; his nieces, Taneesha Smith Carethers and Lacretia Smith; and his close friends, Ricky Weems, Joe Holmes, Roy McCulloh, Vincent Donald and Cindy Lawrence. He is also survived by 14 nephews and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
