With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cremonia Gibson (Saginaw, Michigan), who passed away on July 23, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Charles V. Watkins and Rebecca Watkins; her siblings, Mattie Pegram, George Watkins, Anna Robinson and Rebecca Watkins; and her siblings' children, Mitchell Watkins, Ulysses Watkins, Terrance Brown, Roderick Brown, Samuel Watkins, Jean Watkins and Pamela Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Gibson of Saginaw, MI., Derrick Gibson of Saginaw, MI., Anthony Gibson (Volanda) of Grand Rapids, MI and Carmen Myles (Trent) of Westland, MI.; her grandchildren, Adaryll Gibson, Quartny Jones (Elisabeth), Julian Gibson (Melissa), Karisha Gibson, Antonia Gibson, Rasheda Welch (JaVon), Anthony Gibson Jr., Tyeric Schwind, Evan Myles, Jared Myles, Nolan Myles and Coryn Myles; her sisters, Bettye Watkins and Mary Watkins-Brown; her goddaughters, Alesia Strickland and T'sha Marsh; her grandchildren, Paris Strickland, Lucky Lawson (Damarques), Tierra Young and Shine Strickland; and her close friend Denise Steele.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Truevine Missionary Baptist Church (2930 Janes Ave, Saginaw, MI 48601). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM.
