Sutton; his grandchildren, Olivia Gonzales, Teyanna Curry, Ariana Sutton and Askia Jordan Sutton; his siblings, Claudine "Penny" Fife, Abel Martin, Roy Martin (Cheryl) and Larry Martin (Rose); his stepmother Frances Martin; his stepsiblings, Herma Addison (Earl), Irma McKinney, Lurine Calhoun, Mel and Patrick White; his father-in-law Henry Burrell; his siblings-in-law, Morris Stokes (Ruby), Bernice Stokes, Mary Garman (Hilton), Linda, Ada, Sharron Burrell, Stephanie Dunbar, Latoya Jackson, Cangela Williams, Rose and Ida C.
