It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Desiree Rolanda Perkins (Saginaw, Michigan), who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Thurman, Sr. and Veronica Perkins; her brother-in-law Corey Phillips; and also, Katie, Albert C., Mary Rivers, Melvin Carroll, Bernice Knight, Sue Cummings and Bernadette Claibon.
She is survived by: her parents, Gwendolyn Gilmer and Fred Gilmer (Rochelle); her husband Thurman Perkins, Jr.; her daughter Draya Sherer; her grandson Davin Sherer; her sister Regina Phillips; her stepsiblings, Daveda, David Quinn, Rochelle Hill and DeAndre Minniefield; her grandmother Katherine Rivers; and her siblings-in-law, Brenda Bailey, Cynthia Perkins, Deborah Ross (Nicholas), Darryl, Sr. and Willie G. Perkins. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, special friends and her beloved church family.
