We are sad to announce that, on February 10, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Emilie Kanitz of Saginaw, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean V. DeWeese and Mildred DeWeese (Murray); her husband James D. Kanitz; and her brother William. She is survived by: her children, Kristin Kanitz (Mike Wygocki) of Madison, WI and Dan Kanitz of Shelby Twp, MI; her grandchildren, Austen Wygocki of Minneapolis, MN, Jace Kanitz and Drew Kanitz of Shelby Twp, MI; and her sister Suzanne D'Ettorre (DeWeese) of Westlake, OH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The East Side Soup Kitchen in Saginaw or the Saginaw Symphony, two organizations that were meaningful to Emilie.
