He is survived by: his son Rodney Murphy (Tara Shingola); his granddaughters, Heaven, Saffron and Harlow Murphy; his goddaughter Jan Moore; his siblings, Willie Bryant, R. C. Murphy, George Murphy, Edward Murphy and Phyllis Murphy; his cousin Celestine Simmons; his close friends, Tony Holmes, George Porter and Kendrick Abernathy; and his godson Kendrick Abernathy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
