He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Castle and Onalee Castle (Weeks); his in-laws, Gerald and Evelyn Slagle; and his close friends, Mike Slagle and Will Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Castle; his children, Hope Klatt (Bill), Mark Castle (Tina) and Karen Castle (Ed Shields); his siblings, Florence Betz (Stan), Judy Andrews, Maynard Castle (Pauline), Rose Sommers and Debbie Nehmer (Nick); his grandchildren, Marty Klatt (Lindsey), Kevin Klatt (Katie), Erik Castle, Brianne Van Wormer (Evan), Jeffrey Ryan Castle and Nathan Castle; his great grandchildren, Anastasia and Jonathon; and his pet Annie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Freeland United Methodist Church (205 E Washington Rd, Freeland, MI 48623).
