He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Evans and Gertrude Evans (Rulig); his brother Earnest Evans; and his nephew Tommy Evans. He is survived by: his wife JoAnne J. Strecker (Coenis); his children, Virginia Stachowiak (Gerald), David Evans (Kathleen) and Tyson Evans (Tanya); his grandchildren, Kyle Stachowiak, Chloe Stachowiak, Sophie Stachowiak, Dakota Evans, Gavin Evans and Henry Proderut; his brother Thomas Evans (Silvia); his nieces, Shelley Scott and Chrissy Guber; and his stepchildren, Kelly Huber (Ken), John Strecker (Brenda), Jennifer Snider (Todd) and Jill Gehrcke.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (3427 Adams Ave, Saginaw, MI 48602). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
