Geraldine Marie (Krawczyk) Lutz Obituary
Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend went to be with the Lord at Friendship South in Roanoke, VA in the early morning of Sunday, January 21, 2024. Her beloved husband of 63 years held her hand as she crossed into heaven. She was 81 years old and had courageously fought a long 6-year battle with cancer.
Daughter of the late Michael and Wilma (Engels) Krawczyk, Geri was born September 12, 1942 in Saginaw, MI. She attended SS Peter and Paul High School and later graduated from HH Dow High School in Midland, MI. Geri was married to her soulmate, Oscar Lutz, shortly after her 18th birthday on September 24, 1960.
Geri is survived by her loving husband Oscar, sisters Bonnie Ozark and Denise Colvin, daughters Lisa Bishop and Maria (Marc) Hirsch, grandchildren Chantal, Stephan, Derek, Justin, Courtney, Lauren, and Matthew, as well as numerous great-grandchildren & countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Lutz, her twin sister Kathleen Wolny as well as 3 other sisters.
Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church in Roanoke VA on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11 in the morning. Dear friend Rev. Msgr. Patrick Golden will officiate with cremation services by Oakeys South Chapel in Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Geri’s name to Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
