Smith; her sisters, Dr. Gwendolyn Phillips Valentine (William) and Janet Faye Phillips; her siblings' children, Ivy Valentine Pate (Cecil) and William Valentine, Jr. (Melissa); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Billy Madison Valentine, Shakeila Loomis, Veronica Gilmore, Will Valentine, Lillian Mathews, Cecil Pate, Jr. and David Valentine; her friends, Joyce Brown and Dennis Porter (Gail); Lucas Drain.
