He is survived by: his wife Yoneda Sanders-Collier; his children, Jaris Collier (Monica), Kanika Nelson (Michael), Lyn Denise Collier and Charlie Collier; his close friend Thumbelina Ibrahim; Robert Davis. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
