He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Brethauer and Nancy Brethauer Sr. (McLeod); his sister Karen Gibson; and his sister-in-law Mary Brethauer. He is survived by: his siblings, Walter of Saginaw, Linda Brethauer Jr. of Saginaw, Lawrence of Saginaw, Dawn Brethauer of Saginaw, Robert Brethauer of Saginaw and Connie Armstrong of Saginaw; and his brother-in-law James Gibson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
