We announce the death of James L. Sawley (Saginaw, Michigan), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 92. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Lola; and his parents, Jesse Sawley and Lela Sawley (Hender). He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Greib (Gary) and Rachel Wasmer (Greg); his grandchildren, Joshua Greib (Anet), Jason Greib (Sadie), Wynn Wasmer (Sonja) and McKenna Wasmer; his sister-in-law Dana Faulk; his nephew Brett Faulk (Kolleen); and his niece April Wilhelm (Tom).
