She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mietla and Helen Mietla (Sobolak); her husband Robert E. VanAuken; her stepson Rob VanAuken Jr.; and her brother Yon.
She is survived by: her child Ashley Langley (Kimberly Langley) of Texas; her grandchildren, Ian, Tate Manbeck, Shane Maloney, Christopher and Amanda Stanis; her great grandchildren, Carter, Conner and Cameron Stanis of Texas; her stepchildren, Julie, John Maloney (Kelly Manbeck) of Indiana, Angie, Jim Dow and Amy VanAuken; and her sisters, Marcia Luoma, Susie Osmond and Helen DeVos. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
