It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Adrian Nelson (Saginaw, Michigan), born in Berkley, Michigan, who passed away on May 8, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Carl Nelson (Johan Nilsson) and Ella Nelson (Bleakley); his sons, John Paul and James Phillip; and his siblings, Sigrid Duncan, Elizabeth Nelson and Carl Nelson.

He is survived by : his daughter Janet Pauline (John W. Myers); his wife Sue; his daughter JoAnne Nelson; his stepchildren, Katie Grund (Brandon) and Patrick Kucher (Monica); his grandchildren, Roseanne, Marianne Palmieri, Sarah Champion (Shane), Morgan Lehman and Franklin King; his stepgranddaughters, Briella and Elliana Grund; and his great grandchildren, Alice Champion, Tyler, Gavin and Camille King.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Ascension Lutheran Church, and will be announced by Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (formerly Reitz-Herzberg), 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Samaritas (samaritas.org), Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609, or Paws with a Cause (pawswithacause.org) would be appreciated.
