He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vincent and Genevieve Vertacnik (LaPointe); his wife Mary; and his brother James Vertacnik. He is survived by: his son Peter Vertacnik (Kim); his sister Ann Cowie (John); and his sibling's children, Claire Cowie and Stephen Cowie.
