He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Slaybaugh and Lenora Slaybaugh (Schreiber); his son Scott Slaybaugh; his brother Robert "Bob" Slaybaugh; his brother-in-law Joe Sullivan; Phillip Schilling.
He is survived by: his close friend Susan Futrell; his children, Joe Slaybaugh (Krystal), Carrie Hall (Aaron), Cherrie Wiechmann and Michelle Wilsey (Troy); his grandchildren, Jennifer Deaton (Rusty), Jessica Wasalaski (Kyle), Joe Slaybaugh (Tiffany), Tayla Slaybaugh, Brycen, Emma Klopf, Cassidy Titot, Kiersten Sampson (Michael), Ashley Schultz, Michael Hahn (Melissa), Kayla Alexander (Yuri), Kaitlyn Hahn, Willow Weichmann, Madeline Desain (Josh), Sophie and Elliott Wilsey; his siblings, Carol Wurtzel, Marilyn Sullivan and Ernest Slaybaugh (Jean); James Schilling (Linda), Kathy Bublitz (Chris), Mary Jo Trombley (Tim) and Patricia Schilling. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1550 Midland Rd, Saginaw, MI 48638). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services – Saginaw County (1550 Midland Rd, Saginaw, MI 48638).
