The memory of Leon George Koeplinger of Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on April 15, 2026 at the age of 100, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Koeplinger and Florence Koeplinger (Rux); his spouse Marion Louise Gedel; his son Leon Kenneth Koeplinger; and his siblings, Cora Pretzer (Koeplinger), Joyce Andrus (Koeplinger), Geraldine Schultz (Midcalf), Joann Wellman (Midcalf), Judy Stutesman (Midcalf), Walter, Robert and Dale Midcalf.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Koeplinger (Gloria) and Linda Orr (Gary); his daughter-in-law Barbara Lilienthal (Chuck); his grandchildren, Chad Koeplinger, Thomas Orr, Crystal Kennedy and Marilyn Koeplinger; his great grandchildren, April Carr and Gavin Kennedy; and his close friend Randy Ader.
After a bout with COVID in 2022, he decided to move into Union Court in 2023, where he made many new friends.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Episcopal Church or St. Charles Union Court – Activity Fund.
