She is survived by : her husband Jerry; her children, Brian Hensler (Kathy), Margo Fisher (Damian) and Scott (Melinda); her grandchildren, Jeff Hensler (Lindsay), Matt Hensler (Karli Zubeck), Spencer DeWaele, Stuart DeWaele, Nolan Hensler and Cora Hensler; her great grandchildren, Daniel DeWaele and Leland Hensler; her sisters, Mary Ann Wojahn (Ed), Barbara Worden and Charlotte Cavelle (Casey); her brothers-in-law, James Hensler and David Hensler; and her cousin Fred Hensler.

Memorials to Marlene in lieu of flowers can be made to Peace Lutheran Church, Valley Lutheran High School, and The Castle Museum of Saginaw County.
