She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Foster and Volina Marshall Foster; her husband Gilbert H. Douglass; her daughter Yolanda Douglass; and her siblings, Rudell Upchurch (Eddie Lee), Clarabelle Shepard, Rubbie Foster, Calvin, Auther and Franklen R. Foster.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Upchurch, Kevin Douglass (Sandra) and Timitrice Brooks; her siblings, Annie Lavender and James Foster; her grandchildren, Sparkle Davis, Sade Bond, Damaris Bond, Kevin Bond, Rayshadd and Avonte Douglass; and her niece Belinda Foster-Buck. She is also survived by other grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
