Rachel Glumm Obituary
Rachel Glumm, a beacon of joy and creativity, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, in Saginaw, MI, at the age of 72. Born on November 30, 1953, in Bay City, MI, Rachel's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and service. Rachel's early years were spent in the nurturing environment of Bay City, where she attended John Glenn High School. Throughout her life, Rachel was known for her dedication and hard work. Her career with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) was marked by her exceptional service and commitment, earning her numerous awards and letters of commendation. Rachel's sense of duty extended beyond borders as she worked overseas in Iraq, supporting soldiers with the same warmth and care she provided to her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving children, Wayne (Amiee) D. Glumm, Adam (Teresa) M. Glumm, and Jessica (Del) L. Bolesky. Her legacy continues to flourish through her 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her zest for life and her nurturing spirit. Rachel's memory will also be cherished by her two brothers, one sister, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel B. and Lupe (Rodriquez) Ramirez, and two brothers, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
Rachel had an enduring love for hippos, birdhouses, and angels, each collection a testament to her appreciation for the beauty in the world. Her hands were rarely still, as she loved to crochet and cross stitch, creating intricate works of art that were as much a part of her as her infectious laugh. She was funny, spirited, and creative, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.
Per Rachel's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be completed at a later date.
