He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rye (Hank) and Marion Rye (Carr); his parents-in-law, John and Velma Neuenschwander (Gratz); and his siblings, Margaret (Al Lundquist), Dean (Willa Rye) and Sharyn (Rick Schwarz).
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anne Rye of Midland; his children, Brad Rye (Ellen) of Webster, Amy Rye-Fisher (Mark) of Midland, Liz Cramer (Paul) of Franklin, Tennessee and Kate Rye (Gabe) of Ypsilanti; and his grandchildren, Lauren Rye-An (Chris), Nathan Fisher (Emily), Emily Weber (Ben), Lucas Cramer (Erin McGrath), Andy Rye, Joshua Cramer, Olivia Rye, Sam Cramer, Maxx Fisher, Mia Parra, Sophia Parra and Delilah Rye. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial donations to the Reg Rye Learning Center at the Hemlock Public School District or the Pickford Historical Museum.
