He is survived by: his wife Lafolyette Hammond; his sister Annette Waller; his children, Chevon Hammond, Yolanda Cottrell (Andre) of Kannapolis, NC, Kareem Hammond (Dawn) of Concord, NC, Kirsen McKeithan (Mitchell) of Durham, NC, Kylese Hammond of Charlotte, NC and Jalen Hammond of Concord, NC; his sister Joesette Hill (Roosevelt); and his grandchildren, Devante Hammond, Kareem Hammond Jr., Verlon Hammond Jr., Dominic Hammond, Kylayah Hammond, Tarvis Moore Jr., Aylonah Norris, Ja'Von Thomas, Jaylen Bates, Alexandria Cottrell and Mitchell McKeithan Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters and brother-in-law, cousins and friends.
