He was predeceased by: his parents, Johan "Hans" and Catharina "Toos" (Van Varik); his wife Kathleen Paulsen; his brother Johan "Hans" Fischer; his siblings-in-law, Timothy Paulsen and Carol Paulsen; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Grace Paulsen.
He is survived by: his sons, Andrew Fischer (Stephanie) of Midland, MI and Jeremy Fischer of Chandler, AZ.; his grandchildren, John Fischer (Chandler), Steven Fischer of Midland, MI, Benjamin Fischer and Samantha Fischer of Chandler, AZ; his great grandchild Charley Kathleen Fischer; his brother Robert Fischer (Dawn); and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Paulsen, Francine Fischer, Margaret Sullivan (John), Mary Celentani (Ralph) and Donna Paulsen. He is also survived by uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
