He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. Carl and Nora E. Carl (Huebner); his son Gerald Carl (Jerry); his stepson Joseph Arnold (Joe); his sister-in-law Barbara Nesbit; his uncle Charles "Chuck" Huebner; his nephew Jeffrey "Jeff" Williams; and his pet Muffyn.
He is survived by: his wife Diane "Dee" L. Nesbit; his children, Robert L. Carl, Jr. and Lori Aultman (Mike Woodfin); his stepson Troy Arnold (Michelle); his daughter-in-law Jody Carl; his siblings-in-law, Sue Trumble (Gary) and James Nesbit; his grandchildren, Kayla Hurd, Justin Aultman (Hannah), Andrew Carl and Camryn Tyll (Dalton); his stepgranddaughters, Emily Woodfin and Madison Woodfin; and his great grandchildren, Khloe Hurd, Abigail Hurd and Eliana Aultman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Snow Funeral Home (3775 N Center Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
