She was predeceased by: her mother Juanita Green; her grandparents, Essie Thomas and Willie Thomas; her nephew Anthony "Scooter" Smith; her brother Larry Johnson; and her father-in-law William Hargrove.
She is survived by: her father Curtis Thomas, Sr.; her husband Marshall "June" Smith; her children, Bria (Dennis) and Juan Smith; her stepchildren, Kishna McClendon and Marshall "Lil June" West; her siblings, Almeta McCray, Geraldine Thomas, Angie Gipson, Karen Robinson, Diane Wooten, JoAnn Reddit, Curtis Thomas, Jr. (Hattie) and Lester Weston; her cousin Evelyn Hardy Garrett; and her sister-in-law Sherita Smith (Billy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
