With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley M. Gillespie in Saginaw, Michigan. Shirley, born on December 18, 1936, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Knaub and Alma Knaub (Kukkonen); her husband Carl Gillespie; her brothers, Bill Knaub and Dick Knaub; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria Misiak, Marge Gillespie, Charlotte Wanless, Corky Gillespie, Fran Knaub, Sandy Gillespie, John Gillespie, Ray Langland, Dick Misiak, Paul Gillespie, Ray Gillespie and Ronnie Wanless.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Gillespie (Kathy), Tammy Long (Randy), Judy Becker (Ron) and Janet Gillespie; her grandchildren, Katie Jammar (Keith), Melissa, Ashley, Adam (Veronica), Troy Long (Jenna), Kari, Ronnie, Alisha and Dylan; her sister Judy Langland; and her siblings-in-law, Bob Gillespie, Jim Gillespie (Lou) and Janet Knaub. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gephart Funeral Home (201 W Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
