Stewart W. Blanchard Obituary
Stewart Wilfred Blanchard, 81, passed away on October 27, 2025 in Saginaw, Michigan. Stewart was born on September 20, 1944 to John and Beatrice Blanchard, who predeceased him.
Stewart is survived by brother Mick Blanchard and sister-in-law Louise Blanchard, sister Daisy Sanders, niece Kim Bilyk (Mike Bilyk), nephew Bill Blanchard (Fran Blanchard), niece Tami Hock, and nephew Tim Shook. He was predeceased by sister Bea (Sis) Shook, brother-in-law Harley Shook, brother John Blanchard, brother-in-law Martin Sanders, and his fishing buddy and nephew Bud Winchell (Lori Winchell). John and Beatrice Blanchard later adopted two more children, Earl Blanchard, who survives him, and Harold Blanchard, who predeceased him.
Stewart served in the United States Army in Vietnam for two tours of service from 1968-1970 and received an honorable discharge. Stewart was a radio operator during his service, and Mick and Louise remember Stewart calling them from his foxhole and gunfire was audible in the background. Stewart was a professional truck driver and also worked for construction companies for many years. Stewart loved to fish and traveled all over Michigan making memories and many friends. Drummond Island was his favorite place to fish.

A memorial for Stewart will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Rivertown, Kawkawlin, Michigan. Interment will follow at the graveside at Floral Gardens, Bay City, Michigan, from 2:30-3 p.m.
