He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanislaus Murphy and Esther Murphy (Kettle); his wife Janet Turrill; and his brother-in-law Gene Bower. He is survived by: his daughters, Marjorie Murphy (Michael Cregar) and Laura Harrigan (Timothy); his grandchildren, Kieran Martin, Liam Martin, Daniel Harrigan and Elizabeth Harrigan; and his siblings, Margaret Bower, Michael Murphy (Pam), Patrick Murphy (Tina) and Colleen Ameel (Mark). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Dominic Catholic Parish (1310 Malzahn St, Saginaw, MI 48602). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Moose-Wolf Project on Isle Royal or Michigan Trout Unlimited.
