He was predeceased by: his parents, Fitzsimmon Hood, and Blanche Hood, Sr. (Ford); his granddaughter Da'Quarius Ross; his siblings, Roosevelt Hood, John Hood, Savannah Williams, Grayce Bogard and Lavern McGovan; and his close friends, Larry Newson and James Clayton.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Constance; his children, Eugene Jones (Cynthia), Ladine Grant, Andrew Jones, Ruby Jones, Virgil Jones (Alice), Constance Hood, Janie Love, Woodrow Hood, Jr. (Tanya), Antionette Hood, LaKeshia Jackson (Andre) and Kenyatta Hood; his grandchildren, Ashantee Jeffries (Dominique), Jovanti, Paris, Daveon, Taylor, Teasia, Jamarcus, Virgil Alexander (Felicia) and Tausheia; his siblings, Melvin Hood (Lois), Allien Joyce Neal, George Hood (Janice), Fitzsimmon Hood, Jr., Cathy Beard and Lawrence Hood; his goddaughters, Kathy Primas, Enbony Turner and Alicia McClaren; his cousin Leo Ford; his nephew Lamont Smith; his close friends, David Clark, Tim Clark and Don Anderson; and his granddaughter LaKeshia Jackson. He is also survived by father, not only to his children, but to the other children.
