It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evan Richard Roy Ruyts of Saint Charles, Michigan, who passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Richard, Ruth Ruyts, Stanley and Marion Mansfield; and his close friend Zane.
He is survived by: his parents, Jim R. Ruyts (Pam Blakeslee) of St. Charles and Jennifer Solak Ruyts of Lakeland, FL; his pets, Shadow, Legion, Yami, Pike, Taurus and Tripod; his siblings, Benjamin Solak and Cassidy Solak; his aunt Deb Murphy (Matt) of Bay City; and his girlfriend Taya Merlone. He is also survived by his family, friends, and pets.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Suicide Resource and Response Network.
