He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Remainder and Dorothy Remainder (Wanless); his parents-in-law, Irene Meier and Charles Petoskey; his grandson Zachary Browning; his brothers-in-law, John Damic, Randy Hagerty and James Meier; his nephew Shawn Hagerty; and his great-niece Tiffany Pohlson.

He is survived by: his wife Laurie Remainder; his children, Michael H. Remainder (Bridgette) of Freeland and Kimberly Browning (Mark) of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Nathan (Emily), Kyle (Christy), Mackenzie, Cayden (Emma) and Adysan (Thomas); his great grandchildren, Lennix and Arbor; his sisters, Jackie St (Duane) and Karen Damic; and his sister-in-law Linda Hagerty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends from his camping family.
