He is survived by: his wife Alice Jorgensen Murphy; his daughters, Erin Gowell (Jim) of Ypsilanti, Suzie Fromson (Jared) of St. Johns and Jeanie Bushong (Colin) of Traverse City; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Ben, Rachel Gowell, Georgia, Josh Fromson, Liam and Kellen Bushong.
