She was predeceased by: her father John Zidnak; her husband Robert James Carter; her son James Robert Carter; her grandson Danny Proudfoot; her mother Lena Zidnak (Sleeseman); her siblings, Edna (Edward Vsetula), Sally (Glen Best) and Leonard Zidnak; and her brother-in-law Vern Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Lover (Randy Perkins) of Owosso, Marianne Carter of Owosso, John Carter of Morrice, Peggy Mongar (Craig) of Owosso, Frank Carter of Perry and Rose Swan (Ronn) of Owosso; and her close friend Vicky Binning. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
