He was predeceased by : his parents, Nicholas Couch and Mary Couch; his wife Ina Lee Couch; and his son Billy Joe Couch. He is survived by : his children, James Couch (Sheila) and Lora Palmer; his granddaughters, Jessica Fritz (Matthew), Caitlin Couch, Melanie Cutler (Brandon), Nicole Cataldo and Sarah Couch; his great grandchildren, Patrick Fritz, Charles Fritz and Lydia Cutler; and his sisters, Naomi Meecham, Elizabeth Baker (Bill), Alice Fugate and Mildred Gilley.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ah Peters Funeral Home (32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Ah Peters Chapel (32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088).
