He is survived by: his wife Bette Jo; his sons, Bryan McKay (Lisa), Kenneth McKay (Chelsea), Patrick McKay (Nicky) and Scott McKay; his grandchildren, Owyn, John, James, Henryk, Colleen, Connor, Patrick and Kevin; his brother Ken McKay (Sarah); and his siblings-in-law, Renee (Paul) and Garry. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
