She was predeceased by: her parents, Jules Plae and Augusta Le Plae of Detroit, Michigan.. She is survived by: her husband Donald; her family Don; her brother Paul Le Plae (Patricia); her children, Jon (Rochelle), Maureen Jirikowic (late Pete) and Michael (Sara); and her grandchildren, Kayla O'Malley, Brendan O'Malley, Nick Ryba, Aidan O'Malley and Ashley O'Malley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church (21201 E Thirteen Mile Rd, St Clair Shores, MI 48082-1593).
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, a donation to be made in Nancy's memory to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
