He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Ewald of Livonia, Michigan.. He is survived by: his father Ronald Ewald (late Virginia); his wife Leslie; his children, Steven, Rita Cunha (Morrie) and Matthew (Cate Lee); his granddaughter Blair Cunha; and his brothers, Michael (Debby), Ronald (Dolores) and Curtis (Kathy). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Sweetest Heart of Mary Church (4440 Russell St, Detroit, MI 48207).
