He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Salkowski and Catherine Salkowski; his wife Janine; and his son Steven. He is survived by: his children, Tom (Mary), Diane Tilton, Nancy MacDonald (Tom), Jim, Dan (Alicia) and David. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
