He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. and Mary A. Porter (Kurish). He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Mary Wrobel; his children, Jeffrey William Porter and Nicole Marian-Christina Stewart (Paul); his grandson Paul Thomas "Paulie" Stewart III; and his sisters, Pamela Dunbar (Don), Linda Silveri (Dean) and Barbara Parisotto (Chet). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, and all of his cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home (233 Northbound Gratiot Ave, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 at 9:00 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. John Episcopal Church (2326 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201).
Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S.O., Adopt a Platoon, the V.F.W. or Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Hospice.
