It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Van Tiem of Saint Clair, Michigan, born in East China Township, Michigan, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Theodore Achatz and Helen Achatz; her husband Lawrence Van Tiem; her daughter Barbara Van Tiem; and her siblings, Ursula Miller, Theodore "Bud", Fred and John Achatz.
She is survived by : her children, Larry (Penny), Helen Kolafa (Tom), Mike (Diane), John (Teri), Mark (Karen), Ray (Sharon), Blane (Mary), Karen Plizga (John), Ann Marie Singer (Eric) and Mary Arrowood (Glenn). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
