We are sad to announce that on June 3, 2025, at the age of 23, Joshua Alan Smit in Saint Clair, Michigan, born in Dearborn, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Theresa Willis, John and Phyllis Smit; and his Furry family Sammy and Koda. He is survived by: his parents, Richard Smit and Bonny Smit; his siblings, Andrew and Lee; his pets, Sammy and Koda; his great-grandparent Dorothy Pearl; his grandparents, David, Sandy Kish and Lee Willis Sr.; his aunts, Barbara Kish, Tricia (Ed Spybrook) and Holly Smit (Becky Smit); his uncle Jason (Ashley Kish); and his cousins, Tyler Kish (Brittany Thompson), Colton Pilon, Dillion Pilon (Alyssa Paynter), Grace, Benjamin, Aiden Spybrook, Amber Sakkinen and Cathum Assadalla. He is also survived by many great aunts, uncles.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sturges Memorial Congregational Church (2729 Ravenswood Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Joshua's memorial fund.
