Merle L. Schmidt Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 9, 2025, at the age of 86, Merle L. Schmidt of Saint Clair, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Schmidt and Mildred Schmidt; his wife Ruth Schuman; and his brother-in-law Leroy Schneider. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Schmidt and Karry Hepting (Jamie); his stepdaughters, Sherry Harms and Cathy Wittbrodt (Steven); his grandchildren, Kyle and Lexie Hepting; his stepgrandchildren, Kristie (James) and Carlie (Jeff); his stepgreat-grandson Benjamin; and his siblings, Don Schmidt (Janet) and Judy Schneider. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
