We announce the death of Stephen Herzer of Saint Clair, Michigan, born in Madison, Indiana, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Stephen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sheila Herzer and Dillon "Kent" Herzer. He is survived by: his sibling Phi Delta Theta; his wife Stella Herzer; his stepsons, Jason Carpenter, Jarod Carpenter and Justin Carpenter (Ashley); his nephews, Brant Herzer (Lara) and Judd Herzer (Katie); and his niece Sheila Clouse. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (4061 St Clair Hwy, East China, MI 48054). A masonic service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the same location.
