He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Jones and Elizabeth Jones (Evans); and his siblings, James, William, Richard and Kathleen.

He is survived by: his wife Jacklean Jones; his sons, Jack Jones (Teri), Jeffrey Jones and Jeremy Jones; his grandchildren, Jordan, Jason, Jeffrey Robert, Jandi Jones, Jenelle Jones, Jasmyn Jones and Janae Schmidt (Sawyer); and his great grandchildren, Joslynn, Sunny, Jensen, Charlie and Brewer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Compassus Hospice in West Branch, MI.
