He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Steiner and Marian Steiner (Lewis); his parents-in-law, William Wesley and Dorothy Pechta; and his siblings-in-law, Fred O'Rourke, Barbara Nelson and Stephen Pechta.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Kelly Davidson-Adams (Chris), Brendon Steiner (Shannon) and Lewis LaVasseur (Jacob); his grandchildren, Annaleigh, Wesley, Nash, Vayda and Summer; his siblings, Jeanette O'Rourke, Wayne Steiner (Karen), Janice Steiner and Glen Steiner; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Pechta (Carla), Patrick Nelson, Susan Ney (Kurt) and William F. Pechta (Gwen). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunt, and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Family Life Funeral Homes (999 S State St, St Ignace, MI 49781). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Ignace Golf & Country Club (W223 US-2, St Ignace, MI 49781).
