He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jerome and Barbara Mae LaJoice (Mortensen); his father-in-law David LaVake; his grandson Louis Matthew St. Andrew; his brothers, Mark LaJoice and Jerome LaJoice; and his sister-in-law Kerin LaJoice.
He is survived by: his wife Loni Lisa LaVake of St. Ignace; his children, Joshua Matthew LaJoice of St. Ignace and Kelly Lyn Perrault of St. Ignace; his grandchildren, Gracia St. Andrew, Rayden Perrault and Joyanna Perrault; his siblings, Steven LaJoice (Sue) of East Jordan, Timothy LaJoice of St. Ignace and Mary Lynn Swiderski of St. Ignace; his siblings-in-law, Darren LaVake (Angel), Shirley LaJoice of Jacksonville and Gale LaJoice of Pembine, Wisconsin; his mother-in-law Rita LaVake; and his close friend Duane Huyck. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
